Barnum Pond [CCC Camp]
Exercise drill taking place at a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp at Barnum Pond. The Barnum Camp was located near Pauls Smiths in the Adirondack Mountains. The CCC was founded in 1933 and thousands of young men, across the country, were assigned to plant millions of trees; build roads and trails; construct campgrounds and parks; watershed restoration; protect forests; and other projects in state forests.
