New York City Hearings – April 24, 1972 (Afternoon). Recording begins with WRVR listener phone calls. WRVR journalist Dan Mack gives the afternoon agenda. General Counsel Arthur Liman continues examining Frank Wald, a correction officer and hostage during the Attica uprising. Liman examines Frank Wald’s wife to reveal the mood and the people in the town of Attica during the uprising. Follow-up questions are posed to Frank Wald by Commission member Rothschild. Chairman Robert McKay interrupts questioning to announce that a bomb threat has been called into the studio. Follow-up questions continue from Commission members Guerrero, Broderick, Wadsworth, Marshall, and Henix. Wald makes a final statement. Mack summarizes Wald’s testimony. Judge Charles Willis continues the examination of Francis Joseph Huen, an inmate at Attica. Huen discusses his experiences during the retaking.
