View of a dam on the Deer River at Copenhagen in Denmark, Lewis County. A penstock line is running to a powerhouse of the Deer River Power Corporation. The exposed bedrock is shale and siltstone dating from the Ordovician Period (the span of the Earth's history from about 505 to 438 million years ago.). This image was created to record the waterpower activities of the New York State Conservation Commission.
