New York City Hearing – April 18, 1972 (Morning). Recording continues Dr. Hanson’s testimony about his experiences giving medical care to inmates and hostages on September 9-10, 1971. Follow-up questions asked by Commissioner Henix, Broderick, Wilbanks, Carter, and Rothschild. Arthur Liman examines Richard Maroney, a correction officer at Attica. He discusses his experiences during the uprising and his handling of the fight between inmates on September 8, 1971 and the events that followed. The testimony breaks for lunch. WRVR radio host summarizes the morning session. WRVR in studio radio host, Art Albert discusses the morning proceedings with a former inmate and a member of the Fortune Society.
