This field of White Pines (Pinus strobus) is found at the I. Hiens Sohne nursery in Halstenbek, Germany. In the distance is the watertower that supplies the nursery. The sign atop the tower reads "1898 – I. Heins Sohne." Representatives from the Conservation Department visited this nursery to study agricultural and forestry techniques. This image was created to record the agricultural research performed by the New York State Conservation Department.
