View of what is most likely the Grand River Canyon in Colorado. Rocky cliffs overlook a bend in the river. The face of the cliff on the left bank is bare, while that of the cliff on the right is covered with trees and scrub. Utility poles can be seen on both sides; their wires stretch across the river, and can be seen silhouetted against the sky. Today the Grand River is known as the Colorado River.
