Oyster rack at the Bayville Bridge experimental shellfish hatchery

Oyster rack at the Bayville Bridge experimental shellfish hatchery
View of an oyster rack at the Bayville Bridge experimental shellfish hatchery. Young oysters are attached to the rack which is then submerged. This makes for very easy harvesting when the oysters are mature. This image was created to record the Conservation Commission's efforts in the Long Island shell fisheries.
