Waterhole attached to brook, Parishville, N.Y.
This waterhole is a production of the Civilian Conservation Corps, camp S-134, stationed in Canton, N.Y. The crew excavated a hole and lined it with stone to form a receptacle for water drawn from the brook. It will serve as a source of water during firefighting efforts. This image was created to record the reforestation work of the Civilian Conservation Corps under the supervision of the New York State Conservation Department.
