The U.S. Army Air Forces Special Film Project "D-Day Minus One," released in 1945, records the operations of the U.S. 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions in the 1944 D-Day invasion of France. Film shows paratroopers, gliders, and troop carriers landing behind German lines in France one day prior to the main invasion, helping to prepare the way for the invasion of Normandy on June 6.
