A man in slippers and a turban peddles water from a large jug on his back in Cairo, Egypt. He carries a bowl in his hand. A boy stands nearby next to a wall, while several people hurry by in the background. Both the man and the boy are wearing robes and a turban. The man wears shoes, but the boy is barefoot. Water sellers were, and still are, a common sight on the streets of many large Middle Eastern cities, (1928).
