Wintertime view of a stand of white pine (Pinus strobus) trees possibly on the farm of a James Cole by the shore of Sacandaga Lake near Northville, Fulton County, N.Y. in the Adirondack Mountains. The trees grew from wind-blown seeds. This image may have been created to record the reforestation activities of the New York State Forest, Fish, and Game Commission.
