View of a poplar tree (Populus sp.) whose trunk has been partly gnawed through by a beaver (Castor canadensis) in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. The location is identified as "Little Fish Creek" in "Township 20" of Franklin County; this may actually be Little Fish Pond in the Town of Santa Clara about four miles northwest of Saranac Inn. This image was created to record the game-related activities of the New York State Forest, Fish, and Game Commission.
