This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal in Florida, Princetown and Rotterdam. The map is split into two views. The first view shows the Mohawk River, two buildings and the Road to Schenectady. The second view shows the Mohawk River, the Montgomery and Schenectady County Line, the Princetown and Rotterdam Town Line, the Florida and Princetown Town Line, a bridge, five buildings and the Road to Schenectady. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of J. Haskell, W. Pierce, C.V. Putman, J. Stern and M. Bradt.
