This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal in Frankfort and German Flatts. The map is split into two views. The first view shows German Flatts, Lock No. 2 which was deeded to the state by H. F Myers, two bridges, thirteen buildings and the Road to German Flatts. The second view shows the Frankfort and German Flatts Town Line, the Mohawk River, Dygerts Creek which runs under the canal through a culvert, Lock No. 3, six bridges, fourteen buildings and the Road to Little Falls. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of Church, H.F. Myers, J. Madison, J.C. Fults, Warner Fults, W. Dygert and J.A. Clepsaddle.
