Erie Canal Survey, Whitestown showing Sedaghqueda Creek and Mills
This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal in Whitestown. The map is split into two views. The first view shows a bridge and an unidentified road. The second view shows the Sedaghqueda or Saquoit Creek, an aqueduct, a second canal, a waste weir, a syphon culvert, fourteen buildings including two mills, the Road to Utica and the Road from New York Mills. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of A. and H. Bradley, the Heirs of Wetmore and Doolittle and Lot No. 2, 3 and 4.
