Erie Canal Survey, Verona showing Hamilton College and Stony Creek
This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal in Verona. It shows the Stoney Creek which branches into two streams. One of these streams empties into the canal while the other runs under the canal through a culvert. Also shown is the location of Hamilton College and a lone building. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of Luther Shepard, the Heirs to Thomas R. Gold and Lot No. 126, 127 and 139.
