This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal in Pittsford. The map is split into two views. The first view shows a stream that forms a large mouth that feeds into the canal. The second view shows a bridge, six buildings, the Road from Pittsford and an unidentified road that crosses the canal. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of John Philips, Thomas Towsey, Seth Weed and Joseph Colt.
