This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Champlain Canal in Watervliet. It shows the Lower Sprout of the Mohawk River, a dam, two islands including Tibbit’s Island, a bridge, fifteen buildings, the Road to West Troy and two unidentified roads. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of R.P. Hart and Company and the Factory Company.
