This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Champlain Canal in Fort Edward. It shows the Village of Fort Edward, the Hudson River, Rogers Island, Old Wood Creek, the old canal, two guard locks, over seventy buildings including the site of Old Fort Edward, Main Street, the Road to Fort Miller and a host of unidentified roads. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of Walter Rogers, Heirs of McKennon, J.R. Bleeker, Heirs of Henry Cuyler, Abraham I. Fort, Welles and Lot No. 141.
