This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Champlain Canal in Whitehall. It shows Wood Creek, a guard lock, three dams, three spots where Wood Creek enters the canal, an area where a towpath crosses to the Westside of the canal, two bridges, nine buildings and the Road to Fort Ann. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of Jonathan Polley, Anthony Kinner, John Kinner, Jacob Winchell, Jeremiah Osgood and J. and T. King.
