This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal Feeder in Shelby and Ridgeway. It shows the Village of Medina, the Oak Orchard Creek, the spot where the feeder empties into the Erie Canal, a mill canal, a mill race, eighteen buildings including Nixon’s Distillery, Ingersoll’s Tannery, a saw mill and Church Street. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of Nixon, Ross, Ingersoll, Clark and Niekols.
