This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal in Watervliet. The map is split into two views. The first view shows the Mohawk River, Lock No.33, 34 and 35, four buildings and the Road to West Troy which runs between the canal and the river. The second view shows the Mohawk River, Lock No. 36, two bridges, thirteen buildings, the Road to West Troy and the canal splitting into two channels. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of Isaac D. Lansing.
