This is an ink, wash and charcoal map of a section of the Erie Canal in Watervliet. The map is split into two views. The first view shows a bridge, a long basin, a building and the Road to West Troy. The second view shows the Mohawk River, a large pond or basin, six buildings and the Road to West Troy. The red lines indicate courses and distances. The blue lines indicate canal right-of-way. The map also shows the properties of Cornelius Fonda, I.D.F. Lansing and C. Fonda.
