An article entitled "Passaic man figures in Newark fire," from the Passaic Daily Herald, circa 1914. The article congratulates the efforts of Factory Inspector Joseph Spitz for enforcing laws requiring efficient fire drill systems and other safeguards against fire, after workers were able to escape a fire at the H. and W. Corset Company and the William F. Baker Printing Company, 69-73 Clinton Street in Newark. The article reinforces similar efforts by the New York commission.
