Letter from James Tyler to Robert Leake, Sr., 1768
A letter to Robert Leake, Sr., Commisary General in New York, from James Tyler of Newcastle, England. Tyler wrote to Leake about being in love with a woman, writing: "I am continually thinking of her sleeping and wakeing [sic]." He instructed Leake not to mention this in any letters to England as it "might come to my Master's ears." Side three contains the letter's original address and label only.
