[Aerial photograph, flying northeast to southwest across lower Manhattan, 10/21/2001]
Aerial photograph, no. 3 in a sequence, taken by plane flying northeast to southwest across lower Manhattan more than one month after the September 11 terrorist attack upon the World Trade Center, on October 21, 2001. By this point, most of the fires had been put out, and debris removal had begun.

The Brooklyn Bridge remained closed to Brooklyn-bound passenger cars until November 12. Commercial traffic on the bridge was prohibited for months after the attack.
