Telegram from Edwin D. Morgan, Governor of New York, to President Abraham Lincoln, 1862. Morgan, replying to an earlier communication, noted that it would be difficult to leave his duties as governor to go on assignment, but that he would be willing to do so if Lincoln thought it absolutely necessary.
