Adjutant General, Special Order No. 198
Special order of the Adjutant General appointing Brigadier General John F. Rathbone to lead two companies of his brigade of New York National Guard troops to guard President Abraham Lincoln's remains when his funeral train passed through Albany, 1865. Rathbone was a cousin of Major Henry R. Rathbone, a friend of Lincoln's who had been present at his assassination.
