Clear-Cut Forest

Clear-Cut Forest
View of a forest after it has been clear-cut. The date and location are unknown, but this is most likely in either the Catskill Mountains or the Adirondack Mountains during the 1920s. Numerous glacial erratics (ice-transported rocks) sit on the ground, and mountains can be seen in the background. This image was created to record the reforestation activities of the New York State Conservation Commission/Conservation Department.
