Man on a Hillside

Man on a Hillside
View of a man standing on a hillside, date and location unknown. There is what looks to be talus (rock fragments) in the right foreground, but much of the slope is covered with tree branches that may have been cut. The man is wearing a jacket, tie, overcoat, and a bowler hat; he may perhaps be William F. Fox, Superintendent of Forests for the New York State Forest, Fish, and Game Commission from 1891 to 1909. This image was created to record the fire control activities of the New York State Forest, Fish and Game Commission.
