View of the inner pages of a menu for a dinner attended by various government officials featuring the first artificially propagated oysters. Among the attendees are former New York State Conservation Commissioner George D. Pratt (in office 1915-1920) and the then-current commissioner Alexander Macdonald (in office 1922-1930), who is identified as the President of the National Association of Fisheries Commissioners. The location of the dinner was the Hotel Pennsylvania in Manhattan. The menu is dated October 1, 1925; it is unclear what the date of February 17, 1927 refers to. See image 1626 for the outer pages of this menu. See also images 1208, 1213, and 1216 for images of oyster propagation. This image was created to record the oysters-related activities of the New York State Conservation Department.
