Meadow

Meadow
View of a meadow, date and location unknown, but possibly ca. 1901. There appears to be a stream running through the middle of it. The meadow may be an abandoned farm field that is beginning to return to forest; there are what appear to be pine seedlings in the foreground. There is an elongated tree-covered hill in the background, which may be a drumlin (a hill sculpted by glaciers during the Ice Age). This image was created to record the forestry activities of the New York State Forest, Fish, and Game Commission.
