New York City. Hamilton House. Convent Ave. bet 142 & 143 Sts.
Exterior view of the Hamilton House located at 287 Convent Avenue between 141st and 142nd Streets in New York City. Designed by architect John McComb Jr. and named "The Grange" after Hamilton's grandfather's estate in Scotland, this house was completed in 1802 and was home to Alexander Hamilton for two years before he died in duel with Aaron Burr. To the right of the house is a large stone building that appears to be a church.
