Exterior view of the Metropolitan Museum of Art from Central Park, New York City, in summer. The museum opened at its present site in 1880. The building was designed by Calvert Vaux and J. W. Mould and expanded by Richard Morris Hunt and by McKim, Mead, and White in the early 1900s.
