Detail of the Captain James Lawrence's (1781-1813) Monument in Trinity Church yard at Broadway and Wall Street in New York City. Lawrence served in the U.S. Navy from 1798-1813 and is known for his dying battle cry of, "Don't give up this ship!" during the War of 1812.
