N.Y. Little Falls. Home of General Herkimer
View of an English Georgian style brick mansion in Little Falls, (Herkimer County, N.Y.), built by Nicholas Herkimer, a farmer and trader, circa 1764. Herkimer was a captain of militia during the French and Indian Wars and brigadier general, commander of the county's militia during the Revolutionary War. Railroad tracks can be seen in the foreground in front of the house.
