Van Cortlandt Manor House
Exterior view of front of Van Cortlandt Manor House. This eighteenth century manor house on the banks of the Croton River was owned by the prominent Van Cortlandt family, who acquired the estate in the late 1600s. The home was occupied by both British and American troops during the Revolution. The estate was later purchased by the Rockefeller family. The site is currently a National Historic Landmark.
