Indian deed to Rudolp Stale and Johan Joost Herchkeimer, for a certain tract of land, situate in the county of Albany, on the south side of the Mohawks river, beginning on the south bank of said river, at the uppermost marked tree, or westermost bounds of the patent of the great flatts, and runs from thence along said river, to a creek called ye Half Way kill, where it falls into the said river, thence south thirty-eight degrees, west six hundred and eighty chains, then south fifty-two degrees, east six hundred and fifty chains to and along a tract of land lately surveyed for Peter D. Schuyler and others, to a tract of land granted to David Young and others, then along the bounds thereof to another tract of land formerly granted to James Henderson and others, and then along the bounds thereof, north three hundred and thirty-five chains and south seventy-eight degrees, and east one hundred and ninety-seven chains, and southeast one hundred and twenty chains, and then north to the land formerly purchased of the Indian proprietors thereof by the people of the great flatts, and then along the same to the place where the tract began, containing about 45,000 acres (German Flatts and Columbia, Herkimer county), indorsed.

Certificate of Johan Joost Herchkeimer, justice of the peace, that the same was duly executed, and also with, Certificate of Cadwallader Colden, junr., that the same was surveyed by him and the purchase money mentioned therein paid in his presence.
