Petition of Hendk. Peterson and other Mohawk Indians, praying that the Germans may have part of the land that Teady Margin intends taking up (Russia, Norway, Salisbury, West Brunswick &c., Herkimer county), with Indian deed to Frederick Miller, Adam Scheffer and others, for a certain tract of land lying on the south side of the Mohawks river, and bounded as follows, viz.: on the north and northwest side upon Waggoners, on the east and northeast sides upon Cherry Valley and another small patent of 500 acres, on the south and southwest sides thereof upon Livingston's patent, and upon the west side upon the lake called by the Indians Otseke, and a creek issuing out of the said lake, being a branch of Susquehannah river, indorsed.

Deposition of John Butler, that the contents thereof was interpreted to the Conojohary Indians, with certificate of Wm. Johnson, that the purchase money specified therein was paid.
