Two page letter from Wynkoop Kiersted to John Kiersted Jr. regarding Wynkoop's Mongaup Valley tannery and a proposed Bill to protect trout in New York rivers, and Wynkoop's feelings that the bill was really aimed at tanners to prevent them from dumping their waste into streams. Wynkoop operated a tannery and sawmill in the Catskill Mountains.
