A street with chalet houses in Garmisch, Germany. The outline of Zugspitze Mountain can be seen in the distance. A man pulling a cart, several women, a dog, and a horse drawn wagon are all walking or standing in the street. As is typical of chalet houses, the buildings have sloping roofs with eaves that overhang the rest of the house. Most of the houses also have wooden balconies on the second floor, with ladders leading up to them. A pole supporting power lines is visible at the top of the picture, (1925). See also slide B16299.
