Court proceedings. Injunction issued prohibiting the curators of the estate of Hendrick van Vorst, deceased, from selling or alienating any part of said estate, until it be ascertained whether deceased had made a will in Holland. Claes Cornelissen Swits vs. Maryn Adriaensen ; settled. Maryn Adriaensen vs. Hendrick Pietersen, to oblige defendant to receive a house and plantation he purchased ; defendant pleads intoxication at the time he bought the premises ; ordered to prove that he was drunk, and that he disclaimed the purchase within 24 hours, otherwise the purchase to remain valid. Fiscal vs. Govert Loockermans et al., for boarding an English vessel without a permit ; fined. (cont'd) [1640]

Court proceedings. Leendert Arentsen vs. Volckert Evertsen ; action of debt ; judgment for plaintiff. [1640]

Notice to each inhabitant by and around Fort Amsterdam to provide himself with a gun, and to be prepared when called on ; also, that three cannon shot will be fired in case of danger, when every man is to repair to the place of rendezvous. [1640] (Page 61).
