Court proceedings. Symon Pos vs. Arent Dircksen, for breach of fishing contract ; Jan Damen vs. Lenaert Arentsen, for breach of his son's indentures ; judgment for plaintiff, and defendant ordered to send his son back whenever he runs away. Fiscal vs. Jan Schepmoes et al., for violation of the law against entertaining people at night ; defendants fined. Fiscal vs. Hendrick Jansen for slander ; ordered that defendant prove that he was asleep when the slander was uttered. Fiscal vs. Jan Dircksen for trading in furs ; defendant not to leave the Manhattans pending the suit. (cont'd) [1638]

Court proceedings. Cornelis Jacobsen vs. Andries Hudde, in an action of debt, judgment for plaintiff. Jan Damen vs. Lenaert Arentsen, for loss of his son's services ; defendant ordered to send the boy back to plaintiff and to perform his contract on pain of being punished for disobedience. Everardus Bogardus vs. Anthony Jansen from Vees, in an action of debt, judgment for plaintiff. Symon Dircksen Pos vs. Barent Dircksen, on a contract ; case referred to arbitration. Hillebrant Petersen vs. Symon Pos, for services rendered ; judgment for plaintiff. Hendrick Jansen vs. Anthony Jansen from Vees, for slander ; plaintiff having produced but one witness, parties are ordered to live in peace as before. [1638] (Page 9).
