Hand drawn survey map of North Eastern New York near Lake Champlain. This map shows the various patents Clinton County, bordering Lake Champlain. This map shows Great Chazy and Little Chazy River, which both flow into Lake Champlain, as well as, some of the islands that are located in Lake Champlain. The islands featured are, Isle La Motte, North Hero, Knights Island, Butler's Island, Woods Island, and Potter's Island It also shows various railroads and lighthouses across the county. Other features of the map include, La Colle, Foucault, and St. Armand, which are municipalities of Quebec. The map is marked, "Private copy from private papers of Verplanck Colvin." Original map is 26.8" x 20.9" inches and is held by the Dept. of Environmental Conservation.
