Hand drawn survey map of land ceded by the St. Regis Indians to the State of New York in the year 1824 containing 1023.34 acres. This map shows the St. Regis River, part of the village of Hogansburgh, and a state road leading to the towns of Helena, Bombay, and Covington. The map also has the line marking this purchase and the later purchase of 1825 as well as the St. Regis Indian Reservation line. The map is marked, "Private copy from private papers of Verplanck Colvin." Original map is 28.6" x 15.1" inches and is held by the Dept. of Environmental Conservation.
