Hand drawn survey map of the land Ceded by the St. Regis Indians to the State of New York in the year 1825. This map shows the line between two purchases that occurred, one in 1824 and one in 1825. It also shows the St. Regis River and the county line between Franklin and St Lawrence counties. The map shows various roads that lead to the towns of Brasher, Bombay, Helena, and Hogansburgh. It also shows the reservation line. The map is marked, "Private copy from private papers of Verplanck Colvin." Original map is 27.9" x 18.4" inches and is held by the Dept. of Environmental Conservation.
