Governor Hugh L. Carey meets with the New York State muscular dystrophy poster children, Dawn and Diane Wilson, of Chenango Forks. Each child wears a button that reads “state poster child”. That day Governor Carey signed a proclamation establishing June as Muscular Dystrophy Month.
